The Juan Gomez Milla campus is a huge place. And
as a big place it has a lot of population. With this fact the problems being
discussed has direct relation with how we interact and live with every person
who lives his routine on the campus.
The mix of students, academics, campus workers
and construction workers has been the principal reason of the problematic that
affect all of us.
A clear example was the Aulario’s workers letter,
which evidenced the dirtiness of students at the time of relaxing and partying after
classes, especially at Fridays. Letter that was published like two or three weeks
ago. The situation was covered by a lot of news web pages, and in television in
Mega.
This had a fast answer from the students in the
campus. In fact, this past Friday the Ceco with the art student’s center organized
a special event. The theme of this reunion was the recovering of our spaces,
and counted with the participation of really good bands. Also, the organizers
were spreading trash bags for the different circles of people, all this to promote
a responsible and conscious end of the week.
I know this is just the beginning of a big
road, one where we need to take conscious of our actions as students with the
people who works and live with us. The thing that I value the most is that we
have a creative way of responding, hopefully over time people will learn to
respect their own space.

The positive approach is the best to deal with these situations, but we don't have to forget about our common responsibility to make JGM a better and cleaner space to study and hang out.
