When I was a little school student my dream was becoming a professional
soccer player. I used to play a lot near my house. However, in my life I
quickly realized that I wasn´t going to. And the principal reason is because my
parents always inculcated me the benefits of the education, thing that encouraged
me to project another plans in my life.
In the moment I got into a high school student I started to think about
the things I really wanted to do for a job and for a good living time too. But
in those four years a thought a in a lot of careers: publicity, gastronomy, laws,
sports education and journalism. The only thing I had clear was that I liked
the communication area.
In my last year at 'Notre Dame' school my mom told me that she worked
with the brother of Ivan Guerrero, a known national journalist. She said to me
"I can get you a meeting with him, so you can talk to him and ask him
about the job, the career, plus you can see him at the radio studio o his
program". There was no way for me to denied that invitation, I said yes.
Short story, I went to 'radio Zero' and, in the moment I walked in to
the building I meet with Ivan, he was smoking a cigarette before the radio program
'La venganza del Pudú'. I remember we talked to me about the vocation he had
for the profession, like for example he liked a lot to write, read and keep himself
informed.
After that spurious conversation I stayed to listen the program in the sound
booth. It was hilarious and I met his partners, Werne Nuñez and Juan Carlos
Fau. After that experience I started to think really seriously about studying
journalism.
P. S. I always wanted to study in University of Chile
Nowadays here we are in Juan Gomez Milla
